What is REX? 

REX is the acronym for the Registered Exporter System, a register of companies producing Italian-made goods for export. 

Outside the European Union, the export of goods requires a lengthy bureaucratic procedure to verify the actual provenance of the goods and their conformity. Thanks to REX registration, this procedure becomes streamlined and, as part of the GSP (Generalised System of Preferences), REX-authorised products can be exported to certain countries with a faster and leaner process.

Where is REX valid for exports? 

Thanks to REX registration, the sale of our products outside the EU becomes easier in:

• Canada
• Japan
• PTOM countries (countries outside the European Union that depend on Denmark, France and the Netherlands, for example Greenland, the French Philippines and Aruba)
• Vietnam
• Ghana
• Ivory Coast
• Singapore

The GSP also covers the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which, although geographically close, does not belong to the European Union and is thus subject to a more complex export procedure.
